A FOND FAREWELL:
To wrap love, affection, respect, pride into a word of farewell is nearly impossible.
Perhaps I can sum up best by saying that I am grateful, grateful to my good friends and colleagues who have both challenged and cheered me,
grateful to the bright-eyed , vibrant students who have kept me thinking young,
grateful to the office staff and custodians who have buttressed the operation of the school with inex-
pendable dedication,
grateful to the members of the community who have support Collingwood Collegiate with good will
and mature judgement.
I am sorry to leave. It is not by choice that I leave but by direction to become the Principal of another school in the county. With a grateful heart I say a fond farewell to everyone at Collingwood Col- legiate Institute. My ten years here will be years that I cherish in my memory.
