MEETING GREAT NEW FRIENDS
C.C.I. will long remember this ex- traordinary year of visitors from Japan, Finland, France and Germany
Heller My name is Taeko Tomita. I am an exchange student from Katana City, Japan. During the past year I have enjoyed myself meeting new friends and learning English. I have learned many things about your culture and I will take them back to Japan.
I am very happy to have friends like the people of C.C.I. and Collingwood. Although it was only one year, my stay in Canada helped me to learn English and become more educated. My life will be much richer and fuller because of my Canadian' experience. It has been fun learning how to speak and write English in Canada. Thank you very much for the kindness you gave me while I was in your country. I would rather say "see you again" than "goodbye".
Your friend , Taeko Tomita 85/86 Note: as part of the Sister-City exchange, Debbie Saunders will spend six
months in Japan.
GROETJES UIT NEDERLAND! I!
Hi from the land of tulips, cheese, windmills, and wooden shoes! This is what The Netherlands is all about and much much more! r People always wonder why I chose to come to Holland, but I don't see why not, there's always something dif- ferent to see and endless possibilities to do. Holland is a small country with lots to offer at anytime of the year. Anything from taking a nice tour through the canals in and around Amsterdam, riding a bicycle through many old and beautiful sites and to skate over frozen waters anywhere, is a favorite passtime in the winter. This is what The Netherlands is all aboutr
However, time is a problem- I've been very lucky to see quite a bit of Holland and a little of England, Belgium and Germany, but there's so much else to see and do that there's not enough time to do it all! My year is passing quickly but time usually does when you're having fun!
Tot liens in Nederland

Hi my all Canadian Friends,
Now that my exchange-student year here is almost over, I would like to thank you all for my wonderful year. I really enjoyed my stay here in Canada. I will always remember this year as a special one for me when I'll go back to Finland. C.C.I. certa inly is a great school. Hopefully I can have an opportunity some day to come back to Canada I would say: "HYMYILLAAN KUN TAVATAANI" which means something like "lets smile when we meet next timer"
With Love,
