The Cross Country Ski Team had a very successful season . They attended three invitational meets in Jan. in preparation for the GBSSA Cham- pionships. Results of these meets were: ODCVI Invitational JR. boys 1st., SR. girls 2nd. , SR boys 2nd . Lafonta ine Invitational - JR. boys 6th ., SR. girls 2nd., SR. boys 2nd. This showed that the dryland training from September to December had been successful.
In GBSSA competition our JR . boys were second, SR. girls first, SR. boys second and the SR. combined team first. These results qualified all of our teams for OFSSA competition.
At OFSSA Sue Palmer was our best
finisher taking 3rd place. Her finish was supported by Margot Minardi in 25th. place, Bonnie Ward in 45th. place and Denise Minardi 48th. to give the SR. girls a second place finish after the first day of competiton. In the relay Bonnie , Margot and Sue placed fifth giving them a fourth place finish over 2 days.
In the SR. boys race James Simpson was 12th ., Greg Nell 32nd. , Jeff Davis 50th . and Joel Westerhof 73rd . to give the team a 6th . place finish . The boys werealso6th.intherelay.
The combined SR Team placed 3rd. In JR. competition our team placed 16th.
