MATH CLUB
Each year, mathematics contests are of- fered to students across Canada . Spon- sored in the past by the University of Waterloo , this worthwhile programme gives students the opportunity to develop a keen interest in math and measure their mathematical prowess on a friendly basis against students in other schools across Canada. This year, C.C.I. participated in the following contests - Pascal (grade 9) , Cayley (grade 10), Fermat (grade 11), Euclid (grade 12) and Descartes (grade 13). The supervisors of Mr. Sproule, Mr. Cook, Mr. Davidson, Miss Watson and Mr. Shepherd would like to congratulate and thank all of the students for their interest and excellent efforts in representing C.C.I. on a national basis.
PUBLIC SPEAKING
C.C.!. has always been represent- ed at both the Royal Canadian Legion and the Lions Club "Effec- tive Speaking Contest". Post win- ners in both the Lions Club and Legion contests at all levels in- clude, LEONARD SHEFFIELD , AUDREY FIELD and RACHELLE DESHAIES. This year C.C.I. is represented by ELISE CROLL and RACHELLE DESHAIES. Any C. C.!. student is elegible to compete in public speaking .
