HISTORY IN THE MAKING: MR. BEV WILLIS TO THE DEAN OF C.C.I.
There was a man named Willis From St. Thomas he came to tell us About events and places and historical faces, Full of energy was this man Willis.
Eventually he learned to ski, And as time passed, bounced children on his knee. And wife Marion, a lady so fine, Made sure Bev had little spare time!
Long, lazy summers were spent At Base Borden living under a tent. Instructing his men in shooting and drilling Bev found these summers most fulfilling .
He worked with organizations in school and out, Too numerous to mention! To get involved in many things Was always his intention!
He ran the history department for many a year, Bringing his students knowledge and cheer. By conscientious effort and example Respect from his fellow teachers was ample.
Good things were had in Room 220! Students and staff he has seen a'plenty. They come and they go like the seasons and snow! As a matter of fact, there are thousands he knows!
A good story and a proper comment Bev could come up with, in a moment! When many around seemed to be too serious His wry comments and laughter kept us delirious!
To C.C.I. he bids farewell, An active retirement will see him well. He may come back to tell us more- At C.C.I. he will find an open door!
