MORE THAN A TEACHER: MR. STAN TWIGG
After 24 years of teaching machine shop, Mr. Stan Twigg, better known by all as "Twiggy", is retiring.
Nine hundred and sixty students have gone into his classroom and been given the opportunity to learn machine shop skills. Easy going with a good sense of humour , Stan related well to his students and was able to satisfy a need . During his time at C.C.I., he has seen his three children go through this school.
Stan saw the technical wing built and two major additions built on during that time. He has experienced the leadership of six principals.
Mr . Twigg is best recognized by most people at C. C. I. as the man who , through personal experiences, addresses the Remembrance Day Assemblies. He was one of those who survived the destruction of the Second World War and he has shared with us these moments of triumph and disaster.
We wish Stan well on his retirement, good health and a safe journey as he and his wife, Vi, fulfill their plans of doing a lot of travelling.
The very best, Stan!
