Attending an election assembly at C.C.I. is truly a unique experience. Once your ears become accustomed to the shrill of a multitude of whistles and the banging together of dozens of pot lids, you prepare yourself for the entrance of the can- didates. They are carried in on the shoulders of fellow students, they
arrive in a sleigh pulled by sup- porters or they run in wearing a togo. Banners are waved , toilet paper rolls are thrown. The stage becomes a mass of supporters jump- ing and screaming as the spotlight beams on the candidate . He ad- dresses the audience with his cam- paign speech. If only you could hear him ...
