TRACK AND FIELD
The 1988 Track Team did not have as much success as we have had in the past few years. A relatively small team of 37 athletes finished in fifth place at the Sim- coe County South Region Meet. Led by Reinhardt Keller, who was the Individual Senior Boys Champion, 21 team members qualified for the GBSSA meet. Twelve of these athletes qualified for the OFSAA Regional Meet, but only Reinhardt, Steve Martin, Pauline Verrette and Elaine Lind- horst qualified for OFSAA. At the OFSM Championships, Steve finished fourth in the javelin, setting a school record in the process, and Reinhardt finished eighth in the shot put. Hopefully, we will have more success in 1989 and bring the Zone Cham- pionship back to CCI.
