GIVE US 0 UTDOORS ANYTIME!
The Outers Club had a very active year in 1988-89. The club started the yaarwith a swim test at Bygone Days Farm and a four day canoe trip to Temagami in S~ptember. This trip, involving 24 staff and stu~ents was highlighted by winds and a fly-away tent found floating 200 m from shore bn return- ing from a day long outing.
During October, 18 club members par- ticipated in a camping and hikihg trip. to Kolapore. The November outing w~s a day trip and a game of capture the flag. January saw a day trip for Cross Country Skiing
followed py a weekend camping-skiing trip in early F~bruary. April started with a day hike and endecil with a backpacking trip to Algon- quin Park, In May, members in the club par- ticipated in a canoeing and camping skills weekend There are also plans for a biking trip after exams in June.
In addfion to these trips, Outers Club memberswarticipated in monthly meetings covering ~uch basic skills as first aid, equip- ment, map reading and survival skills. Club Exeeutive:

Now in its 3rd year of operation, Minn-a- kee offers grade 11 students a taste of the great outdoors while at the same time earn- ing credits in the areas of geography, science, phy. ed and history. This year's crew will always remember their overnight winter camping expedition . It had to be the coldest night of the year!!!
