The weather may have been a little cool and the skies a little overcast, but this did nothing to dampen that good ol' C.C.I. spirit when it came to 'Fun in the Sun' day. At noon the sun was just beginning to break through the clouds as 'Coda', a band containing our own Bill Norman, went into their opening song as they entertain- ed a full crowd in the courtyard. You were given the opportunity to eat a barbecued hot dog roasted by Student Council or for those of you that preferred the indoors, you could create a col- osial sundae in the cafeteria. At 1:00 our teams were asked to move to the playing field to join in a variety of activities ranging from tug-a-war, to 'Clench the Wench,' to pyramid-building . Along with fellow team members, you were given a chance to experience things that you .had never thought possible - seeing Mr. Gardiner going through an obstacle course , observing Mr. Vandeweerdhof getting drenched in the balloon- throwing contest and getting to roll over Mr. French and visa-versa on the way to the finish line. You had to agree that it wasn't everyday that you got to see Mr. Fischer in lederhosen or slurp down brown jello. I wonder what flavours Student Council had to mix together in order to get that colour?
The amount of participation by both staff and students in all of the activities had never been greater and the credit must be given to Jill Nebb who spent countless hours organizing and super- vising the day's events. A job well-done, Jill!
