A few centuries ago, a play-
wright by the name of William Cox (isn't he the guy on 'Family Shakespeare wrote: "What's in a Ties'?), James McArthur (where name? That which we call a rose
By any other word would smell as sweet."
Now, this man might have been terrific when it came to writing classical romances and tragedies, but he didn't know anything when it came to the value that a person puts on their name. After all, why did he use 'Romeo' -- wouldn't 'Bartholomew' or 'Stanley' have done as well? Furthermore, if he thought that any name would suf- fice, why did he never sign any of
his plays 'Bill Shakespeare' or 'Willy Shakespeare'? No, it had to be 'William'!
A lot of thought goes into naming a person. Soon-to-be parents pour over a copy of 'What to Name the Baby'. We often chance upon a person who has a humorous name. Haven't we all met some- one who knows a lady named "lma Bore"? Haven't we all told a supp- ly teacher that "Jim Shoes", "Pete Moss" and Bill Board" are absent

We even have students with the same name- the Cindy Mcleod's, the Kevin Hughes' and the Chris Currie's! We go through phases when particular names are popular. Right now, Jason, Jen- nifer, Amanda and Jonathan are common choices. However, when you write your full name, you see that you really are 'One of a Kind'! There's rarely anyone else who shares that particular identity. We
really value who we are, especially in this era of high-tech and com- puters, when our name is simply a nine-digit number.
STOP- IN THE NAME OF C.C.I. STAFF
Is Mr. T. Moore trying to get the goods on Mr. Ber- ni? Is it because he is one of the many outstanding teachers at C.C.I.? Is it because he is another in the long list of superb coaches that C.C.I. boasts? Maybe it's just that he is an overall 'good guy'!
