TEACHER'S PET! TEACHERS PET!
How often have you heard that phrase? Sometimes we think that a teacher may tend to favour a particular student and now we have gotten several members of our teaching staff to admit that, yes, they do have a TEACHER'S PET. In some cases, they admit that they have more than one. Furthermore, they do not hesitate to agree that each pet has a special place in their heart and that they cater to their every need and whim. Oh yes-
ed how Rufty is similar to his owner, Mr. Redmond replied, "We are both housebroken!"
Mr. Allard feels that Freckles Allard, " a quiet, pleasant d o g " looks just like his son, Mark because they both have lots of freckles. Don't ask how this pet got its name. "It's obvious!"
Pickles Seidle got his name after the cat in Beatrix Potter's 'The Story of Ginger and Pickles'. Mr. Seidle noted that both he and his cat like to sleep alot.
Tara Buie, a dog of questionable parentage, has been described by his master as a "wimp! He never stands up for himself!" This member of the Buie family was so named because "after being rescued from the pound, we brought him home and put him down on the ground. It was then that we thought of earth - terra."
Oogie and Googie McAndrew are two goldfish that live at the home of .our vocal instructor. Mr. McAndrew cla1ms that they were named after his parents. Furthermore, he insists that dogs and cats aren't the only pets who resemble their masters. These aquatic animals "don't like to go for a walk either! Also they are very hyper and they like to swim alot.'' Does that not describe this musician to a tee!?!?
Byron Hunwicks a black Newfie, is starting to sport a little gray in his beard just like his master. Named after Lord Byron, the poet, Mr. Hut:~wicks finds he is very similar to h1s pet because " h e is a very easy-going, loveable, huggable kind of guy- even if he does drool a little!" His other

one more thing. These teacher's pets are not found on the classroom. They tend to have fur and four legs.
Taffy Truscott
Samantha Minardi, a.k.a. Sam to close friends, is described as "deaf in both ears, has a twisted neck and a tilted head, she walks funny and last fall had a leg run over by a car. Other than that, she's fine!" Like her owner, she is very friendly and loves people.
Slam Dunkin' Crago is described as "a wild, little beast" and his owner, our phy. ed. teacher, wants it clarified that "THIS IS MY WIFE'S DOG and he is not like me at all!" Dunkin's father, Barney Plater, is one of two canines that reside at Mrs. Plater's house. "My other son is named Miller." Don't link this combination of pet names to the t.v. show. "My husband named him after the brand of beer. It was the only way he would agree to getting a sec- ond dog!"
Cinderella Morgan, a.k.a. Cindy, was an extremely ill, poorly kept cat that found her way to Mr. Morgan's doorstep. This feline's master admits that both need a shake to wake up!
Yes, it becomes most obvious that a person and his pet are indeed 'ONE OF A KIND' whether it be the sweet, sad eyes of both Nathania! and Mr. R. Sneyd or the fact that both Mr. Russell and Amber having greying hair. Think about how you are like your pet!
There is a belief that one's pet often
takes on their master's personality and
even physical characteristics and vice
versa. Many of our classroom instruc-
tors agreed that this theory was un-
doubtedly true. Together, master and
pet make a truly 'ONE OF A KIND' Newfie Haidee, takes after him
combination!
Murphy Swanson, a cairne terrier,
is considered to be "the best dog in the world" by his mistress, Miss Swan- son. This spunky canine was given his name simply because his owner had always liked the name. Miss Swanson will readily agree that she and Murphy are very similar. "We are both stub- born and he barks a lot like me!"
Ruffy Redmond received his name after our science teacher vetoed his 3 year old from naming the dog after a prominent family member. When ask-
because "she too is sweet, cute and cuddly!"
Duke Stoutenburg, a German Shepherd, was given his name after he was mistakenly named Duchess. Mrs. Stoutenburg feels that she is very much like her pet based on the fact that Duke doesn't get out much either!
Thing Kilgour is a unique pet own- ed by Mr. Kilgour - a rare type of dust bunny. Our biology teacher states that Thing is always hiding under the bed, he's vicious and at times, gets com- pletely out of control!
