The hand has been described as a map to a person's true inner self. Considering that each person's hand is different, this could be a most valid belief. When one studies this map, there are many physical aspects that are taken into ac- count. One carefully examines the thickness and form of the palm, type flexibility and shape of the joints, the colour and texture of the nails,ari~ skin as well as the way in which the hands are U.sed in gestures. · ':i+ :,
