GIRL'S BASKETBALL TEAMS These Girls Not Only Slam Dunk the Ball!
The Midget Fighting Owls com- pleted another successful sea- son. In the regular league play,
their 9-1 record ensured that they were first in the zone. Playoffs found C.C.I. host- ing first Barrie Eastview and then Central. Collingwood won both matches and con- solidated its' first place standing and ad- vanced to G.B.S.S.A. competition. The great day finally arrived and the team boarded the 6:45a.m.bus.Unfortunately, one player slept late and meeting a snowstorm meant that the girl'strip to Gra- venhurst was exhausting. Arriving 10 min- utesbefore the first game seemed to get the team off to a slow start. Orillia Park Street was able to gain an early lead and C.C.I. Midgets were unable to make a comeback, losing by 7 points. This was a disappointment, but overall, the sea- son was most successful. Good luck to

twas a most successful and ex- citing year for the Junior Girl's Basketball Team. It was filled
with many memorable bus trips, games, practices and McDonald's stops. The players shall always recall:
- SPLASH!!!
- Mr. Gagne's 'John Travolta, Staying Alive' routine!
- the bus trip home from the cross-over game!
- BEATING and eliminating lnnisdale! - winning our own tournament!
The team finished the season with a 16 win , 4 loss record . They were also given the chance to compete in the G.B.S.S.A. Finals, but lost a close, hard-fought bat-
