The Midget Owls Basketball Team posted a season record of 7-5 and advanced to play-off action. Aller dropping their first three league games, the re- bounded to an impressive 7-2 far the remainder of the schedule and showed real promise for the future of C.C.I. basketball. Although the Junior Boys Basketball Team narrowly missed the play-offs this year, they still had a very re- spectable 7 wins and 8 loses record for the season. Highlights were solid victories over Park Street and Twin Lakes of Orillla and excellent team efforts in victories over St. Joes and Bradford . One of the best games of the year was a close loss to Midland in which Don Shackell dazzled everyone with 25 points. Coaches CragoandSimpsonthankthebaysfortheirhardwork and sportsmanship throughout the season.

The C.C.I. Senior Boys Basketball Team Improved steadily throughout the 1990-91 season. The Seniors missed the playoffs despite winning five of their final eight games.
The Owls faced a challenge in 1990-91 with no re·
turning starters and a tough schedule to open the season. In February, the Senior Boys amassed a four-game winning streak, but it was halted in a pivotal match against Park St. from Orillia. The team finished 5-6 in league play , but showed great improvement both individually and as a team by season's close.
Trevor Kolkea. Dundas Tournament All-Star and Simcoe County All-Star, was the team leader in scoring and ball control and was the point man in Collingwood's dreaded 1-3-1 full court press. Mike [Money) Lougheed, Simcoe-County All-Star and top rebounder, along with James Carson, three-point specialist. were the cornermen of the press that created many scoring opportunities for the Senior Owls. Kelly Mclennan and Kurt White played defense against the opposition'strees and kept them off the defensive boards. Steve Martin and Andrew Sneyd knocked down shots from the elbow and made steals on the press. Rob Hunter added leadership and consistency. Brad Rawn [perimeter launcher), Willy Buckindale [defensive specialist) and Mike Hamilton [boards specialist] added depth to the Owl atlack. Mr. Hirst and the rest of the Senior Boys wish the best to graduating Seniors Kolkea, Carson. Mclennan. Marlin, Sneyd and Hunter.
