Shawn Chartrand proved to be our Cross-Country Team leader as he finished 6th in the Senior Boys' GBSSA race to qualify for the OFSSA Final at Horseshoe Valley. His Senior Boys team-mates Mal- colm Harkness, Don Bowden, Rob Brown and Marc Allard placed 4th as a team in Simcoe County com- petition. Our Senior Girls Team of Angela Stephenson, Martha Kelly, Carrie Scott, Theresa Plater, Steph- anie Graham and Carina White also placed 4th among Simcoe County teams.
The C.C.I. Track Team was small, but powerful, with several athletes qualifying for OFSSA re- gional competition. Marilese Keller set a new school record in the Ju- nior Girls discus throw on her way to the OFSSA final held in Sudbury. Showing excellent promise in their specialty events were: Tyler Spies (high jump-regionals), Elaine lind- horst (3000 meters- regionals). Steve Archdekin (long jump- GBSSA), Orval Thompson (1500 meters - regionals), Georemy John- ston (steeplechase and javelin- GBSSA) and Matt Sprecker (shot put- GBSSA).
