ur Adults
Take It To
The Limit!
We're Not Getting Older, We're Getting Better!
This year CCI had more adults then ever and they were offered a large variety of courses. The reasons for returning to school were wide and varied. Curiosity brought Wanda Avery and Brenda Miller back to school. On the other hand, Olga Nowik hoped to resurrect her dead brain!
Many adults found that life at CCI was quite different than when they went to school. When Deborah Haight first attended high school, they didn't have music in the morning. Instead, they had loud bells to tell them what to do and when to do it! Gordon Cruickshank noticed the less formal relationship between the teachers and the students than in earlier years.
Returning back to school might have a difficult decision to make -trying to schedule one's time and responsibilities. For Sharon Jensen, just getting up enough courage to enroll was hard. On the other hand, some adults had no trouble coming back to school. Doris Weekes was one such person who found adjustment not difficult - being treated well by the teachers and students made it easy and enjoyable for her.
Our adult students were a welcomed addition to our school. We hope they have enjoyed their time at CCI and will consider returning. Re- member, adults too can 'Take It To The Limit!'
