The Day They Stopped the Chop!
Psychologists have conducted extensive studies on why the human mi~d can recall accurate detail concerning one's whereabouts durmg a certam event. Ask you parents and teachers and they can easily tell you what they were doing when they heard that John F. Kennedy was assassinated, for example. To test this theory among students of CCI, numerous individuals were asked, "Who were you with and what were you doing the moment that the Blue Jays won the World Series?" one month after the fact and each individual clearly recalled in detail that precise moment. Chris McNicol, a long time Jays fan, was sitting at home with family and friends and they all burst into cheers at the final out. Tammy Wilson was babysitting with her friend Brandie Whiteside and their yells could be heard outside.
Shannon Cando was never a Blue Jays fan before, but she became addicted to the World Series and was watching the final game at home. Greg Cooksey was glued to the radio at his night job at the Shell station in Creemore when the big news came. Chris Patti- son always knew that Toronto could do it and he almost fell as- leep while babysitting until they went past the 9th inning. Based upon the tremendous enthusiasm and pride in Canada winning it's first World Series, perhaps Cito Gaston should consider run- ning for Prime Minister! LT Darren Long & RT. Dan Longmire, both extremely proud of Canada's Jays.
