It's not uncommon to see many early birds in the halls of CCI at 7:30a.m. These individuals have left the comfort of their warm beds to come for a prac- tice, complete a homework assignment or perhaps they love school so much, they try to spend every mo- ment here. The majority, however, tend to arrive af- ter 8 o'clock and their methods of arrival are many and varied. The majority use foot power, either walk- ing or riding a bike. Some depend upon the town transit while others have to stand on the side of the road in all weather conditions waiting for the famil- iar yellow bus. A selected few have their own cars or beg Dad or Mom for the keys. The drivers often find to their dismay that if they arrive after 8:30,
the number of empty spaces are few. In a panic to get to class, the cars are left in any vacant spot. This year, the number of cars in the parking lots seemed to surpass previous years. This resulted in many ve- hicles being towed away for blocking others. Addi- tional parking space is needed.Jacinda Shears felt that a new lot could be created by removing the school sign. Jim Sneyd wanted to take out the monuments on the front lawn. "Cut down the trees and put in cars!" Roberta Underdown thought that maybe the football field would be better used if it was paved. Miss Milne, however, had the best solution- "Let's build a parking garage! We already have the first floor there. It's just a matter of adding a second one!"
