CCI WELCOMES THE WORLD!
After 4 years of planning, over 400 vo- lunteers from our school and community hosted over 400 visitors from 14 countries and 2 other provinces. It was a magical week of cultural exchange, educational mo- ments and memories from Native dancers and rock bands of the opening ceremonies to the CCI band and choir, Lieutenant- Governor and Sue Hollaway and Greg Joy at the closing ceremonies.
The competition was superb in both ap- line zne nordic sites and the weather co- operated as well. In between, the visiting students toured Ste. Marie. Among the Hu- rons, were entertained at Canadian homes
for dinner and enjoyed a dance at CCI. To top it off, the CCI girls team won the bronze medal in the Group II Girls com- petition. According to the ISF executive secretary, this was "the best ISF meet!" Members of the Canadian team (TOP) were: (BK. RW.) Coach Redding, Coach Haiduk, Teddy Kern, Chris George, Teresa Plater, Melissa Abbotts, Jessica Fiorello, Pat Brown, Coach Moore, Coach Kristy (MID.) Kristy Alexander, Shannon Mercer, Kelly Cooper, Dave Campbell, Chris Me- lynk, Sue Foster (FR.) Megan Maurice, An- gie Bryans
