               SECRETARIES + T.A!S
One of the exciting things about language learning is going into a culture other than your own and finding that you can understand and make yourselfunderstood. This is the case with the French immersion trip to St. Donat. Up to 200 students with varying abilities and back- grounds grew confidance and fluency in very few days- and all this i'! a context ofrecreation. The students learned about St. Donat and it's environs, but they also skied, downhill and cross-country, snowshoed and had a great time outdoors! This year the chosen ski-cenre (Val St. Come) was an extremely francophone one which, again, added to the completeness of the French experience. All our students enjoyed the trip and found it really worthwhile. Members of the 'tres bien' French Department were (MID. LT.) Mrs. G. Benbow, (BOT. LT.) Mrs. J. Politi-Berni*, (MID. BOT.) Mrs. M. Russell and (BOT. RT.) Mr. H. Becket
