   WEIGHT CLUB
Each noon hour a group of young and goodlooking men arrive at the door to the weight room in order to begin their training of fitness and power lifting, under the supervision of Mr. Pilon and Mr. Truscott. The weight room club offers these inĀ· dividuals an excellent opportunity to stay in shape.
The 1992-1993 MECCA team put the emphasis on quality this season with outstanding results in all three competitions. Team mem- bers compete in role play situa- tions in which they are presented with business problems such as un- happy customers or poor employ- ees and must deal affectively with the situation while being evalu- ated by the other participant (judge).
In November a large group of thirty competed in the Simcoe County event at Georgian College in Orillia. Star performers at this competition were Marten Visser and Debra Prezio, each returning with two first place finishes.
At the Regional Competition at Midhurst the performance of Krista W atts was tops with two second place finishes in the role play customer service events.
Finally, the six person team of Krista Neil, Marten Visser, Todd
Canning, Tammeez Sundelji, Krista Watts, and Hugh Stimson faced 900 students from around the pro- vince at the provincial competition at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. All ofthe CCI competitors made trips to the awards platform for finishing the top 15 out of 60 competitors in each competition.
Stellar performances by Hugh Stimson (4th place) and Tameez Sunderji (2nd place) earned these two positions on the Canadian Team of seventy which travelled to Orlando, Florida in May to com- pete against fifty teams represent- ing each of the American states.
Next year Tameez makes his quest for a third trip to the U.S. Nationals arid Club President Krista Neil will undoubtedly make a run for a top finish at the pro- vincials.
