The Dance Club was formed because of the popularity in Western Line Dancing. Not only Line Dancing does improve physical fitness, it is also a great way to relieve stress and it doesn't require finding a partner. Our 'kickers' included students from all grade levels, adults, teachers, some young visitors from Cameron Street School and an occasional parent. Everyone who came out decided that 'boot scooting' was a lot offun. We also formed a demon- stration group to perform at nursing homes or for special activities. The members of this group (BOT. MID.) were: FR. ROW - Denise Major, Jeannette Campbell, Crystal Glenn, Debra Prezio, Dave Edwards, Ria Tesseris, Micheline Quesnel, Lisa Gardner, Kari Shears, Lam Vo, Monika Huizenga MID. ROW- Min Pinkey, Roma Assaff, Mrs. Murray, Andrea McDonald, Tara Archdekin, Kathy Jo Quesnel, Robin Symes BK. ROW- Jennifer Henry, Mrs. Chandler, Mr. Wilkinson, Gareth Corrigan, Graydon Oldfield, Todd McKay, Teresa White, Jesse Bull, Mrs. Cubitt
Amnesty International (MID. RT.) campaigns for the release of men, women and chil- dren who are imprisoned for their political or religious beliefs or for their race, colour, sex, language or their ethnic origin, provided they have not used or advocated violence. These people are called 'prisoners ofconscience'. Amnesty involves CCI in many activities through- out the school year concerning the fight for human rights, International Women's Day and International Labour Day are just a few of the awareness campaigns highlighted the year. By writing letters, Amnesty hopes to help the prisoners of conscience in their search for freedom. Members of this club were: (BK. ROW) Mr. Wilkinson, Miss Baxter, Sharon Smith, Tanya Brown, Karen Skeaff, Jenn Houghton, Mr. Jones, Michelle Doupe (MID. ROW) Christ- ine Boughington, Sarah Nurcombe, Uyan Tran, Sarah Makin

C.C.I.'s Gourmet Club (MID. RT.) was a new extra curricular activity this year. Initially students wanted in increase their skills in the kitchen before heading off on their own. The-group soon grew, however, to include members who shared a love of good food and the fun of preparing it with friends. Outside the school, students met with local chefs in an effort to broaden their experiences, and field trips were a highlight of the year. Balancing their new skills with social awareness, the Gourmet Club also supported the food bank in order to provide others with well-balanced meals. Members ofthis club were: (BK.
