The 1994 season finished on a classy note as former C.C.I. player Ryan Potter talked to the team about his football career at the Award~ Banquet on November 16th. Ryan's career mclude~ 4 years at the University of Western Ontano and five years in the CFL. In 1994, he was inducted into the Colling- wood Sports Hall of Fame. He handed out the following awards:
1. Robertson-Titus award - Chris Stouten- burg and Greg Flynn
2. Offensive Backfield award- Ian Phil- lips and Chris McEachern
3. Best Lineman award - Justin Corri- veau
4. Defensive Backfield award - Cory Kier- stead
5. Most Improved Player- Josh Noble 6. Skill, Spirit and Sport award - Paul
Civiera and Clay Dolan
The season's record was 2 wins and 5 losses
-not what we would have preferred. How- ever, many of the losses were close and the record does not indicate the character and ability_ of the team. This was a good team compnsed of hard working, dedicated play- ers who competed well in every game.
Several first year players im- proved considerably and should provide the basis for a strong team next year. As well next year's Senior Tham will ;eceive a healthy contingent of grads from the 1994 Juniors. Coaches ~dw~ds and Ley enjoyed work- mg w1th these players and wish them well next year.
A special thanks to Owen McDermid, Mike Wilson and Rob Potter who helped coach the team.
