1994 was a great year for the Midget Fighting Owls. They completed the season undefeated in league play, with a 9-0 record. Playoffs resulted in the same fashion with CCI defeating the Bant- ing Marauders and the Innisdale Invaders.
The team travelled to Huntsville for the GBSSA playoffs. The team met a strong Midland force and an excellent defensive game resulted in a 1 point difference at the half. A brief spurt by Midland in the third quarter sealed the fate of the Mighty Fighting Owls. Thanks to Jasop McCarl. Mem- bersoftheMidgetteam(BOT. LTJwere:FT. The 1994 basketball season for CCI's Junior Girls was spectacular! The team was compiled of many talented girls that were determined to have a successful season. The Fighting Owls worked hard during practices and games to end their reg- ular season with 8 wins and 1 loss, putting them in 2nd place for league play. The Junior Hooters then advanced to the GBSSA finals after shutting out a strong Innisdale team in the playoffs. When the girls travelled to Huntsville, they were shut out by a strong team in the semi-finals to end an excellent season. The Junior Girls would also like

What a Season! If the roaring announce- ments can be believed, the Senior Owls never lost a game all season.
Many successes did come their way with triumphs at Owen Sound, CCI, and a loss in the final match at Barrie Eastview.
Highlights of the season featured Patty Vance's inside move followed by the Patty Pout if the foul wasn't called, Colleen Rowe's soft 15 ft set shot, Christa Hiscox's driving Shake & Bake lay-ups and Jen Schell's point guard magic leading to countless assists.
The rookies did not sit back as "Air Sav- age" tore down the boards while speedster Lonica Hennebury stole and fed to power for- ward Sarah McQueen.
The team would like to say a special good- bye to Patty Vance, Jen Schell, Christa His- cox, Colleen Rowe, and to co-coach Derek Sey- mour who will be moving onto post-secondary school next year.
