The ALPINE SKI TEAM had another winning season highlighted by participat- ing in the Ontario Winter Games held at Blue Mountain (taking the place of OF- SAA). Chris Riopelle brought home the hardware from this three day event. At the GBSSA CHAMPIONSHIP, Level II Boys placed 3rd, Melissa Abbotts - 1st, Angie Bryans - 2nd, and Teresa Plater · 3rd, (3 girls RT. CENT.), while Chris Rio- pelle was 1st and Greg Flynn - 3rd (BE- LOW LT). We had a great season and look forward to hosting G.B's next year!

For the first time in several years, C.C.I:S NORDIC SKI TEAM fielded a full Junior Girls' 'Tham. Brianna Wypich provided inspira- tion for the entire team by winning the GBSSA individual title and qualifying for OFSAA. Tyler Rollins was our lone Junior Boy competitor. The Senior Girls' 'Tham began the
season well, but were plagued by a couple of injuries that left them without a full team for GBSSA. Ash- lynne Lang did, however, qualify for OFSAA competition. The highlight of the season was the Senior Boys' 'Tham. With Brendan Wypich lead- ing the way, the team earned a 2nd place team finish and a birth at the OFSAA CHAMPIONSHIPS. Unfor-
tunately, stormy weather and poor road conditions forced the team out of the relays at OFSAA, ending the season abruptly. None the less, it was a season of great accomplish- ment and satisfaction.
