rake It To The Max
with the spirit of Council!
'Do something worth remembering'
-Elvis Presley, April1957
Elvis has been gone since 1977 - and yet not gone. Our attention is still :aptured by supermarket tabloids claiming another sighting of Elvis and ;his summer, we saw dozens of gyrating impersonators converging on our ;own. Even Forrest Gump got to meet this legend in an early stage of 1is career. Elvis still lives, all right, in his music, in his movies and in 1is words. Elvis Aaron Presley is a prime example of one who 'PLAYED 'T TO THE MAX'- in both a negative and positive sense. The emotions md messages carried in his songs have never been matched by another J.rtist and as much as we continue to enjoy his talents, we can also learn 1 great deal from his failings.
The '94 Student Council, like Elvis, displayed talents equal to no other. rheir main goal this year was to bring as much spirit to the school as lossible and this theme was carried TO THE MAX from the first day Jf classes in the fall to the final June Assembly. "We have tried to do ;his by introducing such activities as 'Wacky Wednesday', theme dances, Spirit Days as well as keeping with old traditions", stated President Jason Lang (BOT. LT.) "It was really great to see the school getting into the CCI spirit!".
