YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY, BABY, BUTT .•.
Yes, GRADE lO's have come a long way since their humble and sometimes embarrassing be- ginning in grade 9. Derek MacKenzie recalls his ultimate blunder of tripping up the stairs at a pep rally while Lacey Thompson will never forget walking into the wrong bathroom.
With one year of experience at C.C.I. under their belts, Grade lO's have developed their fa- vourite ways of spending lunch hour: "watch- ing basketball & putting grade 9's in their place" - Kyle Talsma "watching the Flint- stones at home" - Jeremy Johnson, "going guy hunting"- Billy-Jo Hilson, and "sleeping" - Scott Helmer.
Grade lO's are especially involved in concerns at C.C.I., like the ANTI SMOKING MONTH in March. Mrs. Wypich's class (RIGHT) used a positive and humorous approach with props like the giant cigarette and many posters to en- courage students to "butt out" their smoking habit. FRONT ROW· Andrea Hazelwood, Shan- non Abernethy, Cheryl Gendreau, and Sam Fir- man. BACK ROW- Leanne Minduik, Melissa Brownr"Luke Ehillips, Rich&"d ·d, and Jai- mie Vaughan. ,
The Grade lO's of '95 have come a long way since DESTREAMED first year, but they are only about half-way in their highsclhool career and look forward to many tnore rewarding ex- periences at C.C.I. ·
