"Those Were· Th:e Days"
We asked C.C.l. staff members for their favourite childhood memories. Here's what we got! Mr. Shackell, the dare devil, recalls riding down the stairs on his bike. Miss Phillips remembers attending a one-room school house and Mrs. Kathy Wilkinson liked chats with Grandmother who let her drink tea. When Mr. Nickel was a toddler he scooped poop out of his diaper and flung it all around his bedroom. His family has never let him forget the mess he made! Mr. Pommer remembers finding an escaped lion on a fishing trip and at five years old Mr. Kilgour caught a mess of small bass and perch with kleenex as bait. Poor Mr. Crago had to walk for a while behind the family car on a long trip out West because his bouncing around was driving everyone crazy! "Memories are made of this." . ' "Devil or Angel?" The rebellious ones were Mrs. Tofano whose parents had little control over her; Mr. Davidson liked to raise hell on Halloween; Mr. John Sneyd was usually in trouble, and Mr. Brydon Jones lived dangerously but survived! Mrs. Grant
was more of a closet rebel. The angelic ones include Mr. Coukell - the responsible one, Mr. Brown- quiet and studious, and Mrs. Vandergust- Mr. Mickevicius' "quiet" Gr. 12 history student.
Who were the sociable teenagers? Mr. Wilkinson was often at the Woodbine Race Track with his buddies. Mrs. Cubitt admits to having been fun-loving and .l:l little
'boy crazy, and Mr. Simpson played in a Rock and Rollband for four years. Miss Greer (Chaudet) spent many Friday nights watching Bobbie Orr and the Oshawa Generals and hitting the A&W drive-in afterwards.
