What's it like having a parent working at C.C.L?
As you might expect, having a parent at C.C.I. has its ups and downs. The big advantage is CASH and the CAR when you need them, say Kit Redding and Kim Green. "I never have to go hungry with my Grandfather here," reports Scott Rowbotham, while Andrew Clarke and Chris Stoutenburg find it'pretty convenient getting permission notes signed in a hurry. Karen Vandergust likes not having to explain "Transition Years" to her family, but will she like having her mom as her teacher next semester? Rachael Moritz finds that having her mother, Mrs. Janet Wilkinson, working at C.C.l. brings them closer together. "I get to see her in an atmosphere she enjoys." Devon McBride and Ryan Jackson say, "No Problem! We rarely cross paths."
On the down side, the biggest disadvantage by far is that, "they can find out anything anytime and usually it's not good!" says Kelly Clarke. You can't get away with skipping," according to Brendan Wypich, and both Mike Allard and Chris Horner agree. "It can be embarrassing," says Becca Traynor as she recalls her father yelling in her class when she was only in grade 9..Having a parent at C.C.I. also proves to be somewhat embarrassing for Helen Sharp when her mom yells her name while dancing in the halls and for Julie Crago whenever she learns from friends that her dad "lost it" in class. "I just don't like it," reports Bethany Weston. Although Adam Sneyd says that overall it's not bad, "having dad for AmericanHistorywasth NIGHTMAREdadthoughtitwas going to be."
