The SKI CLUB is an old tradition which began in the late 40's .at the old CCI and continues to be a popular club. Over the years, thousands of stu- dents have been able to develop skills in downhill skiing, and now snowboarding, with some of the more competitive students going on to represent C.C.I. and Canada at world championships. Under the direction of Mr. Doug French, Mr. Jim Rhodes, and Mr. Fred Sproule, as well as about 20 staff members, approximately 200 students enjoy 6 weekly trips to Blue Mountain on Tuesday after- noons. Each member participates in the Perfect Turn Skier Development Programme and a wind- up barbecue at Central Base Lodge. The Ski Club would like to thank our staff advisors Mr. French, Mr. Rhodes, Mr. Sproule and the many staff super- visors, the entire administration for their support, Mr. Gord Canning and Blue Mountain Resorts for making the program educationally valid, affordable, and for Mother Nature for another great season!
