Collingwood Collegiate has long earned the rep- utation of being a community-minded school - a place where students + staff are continually aware of local needs and they work together as a team to support important hometown issues and causes. The annual Food Drive is only one example of the school helping the community for this teamwork continues throughout the year . Mr. Mcintosh and his
three restaurant service classes (ABOVE LT) re- sponded to the need for many local residents to enjoy good company and good food on Christmas Day. After many weeks of in-class preparation, Mr. Mcintosh and his crew of volunteers served over 80 dinners to a most appreciative group. He hopes that this is the beginning of a CCI tradition. The Salvation Army, well known for supplying Christ-
mas items to many local needy families, was very impressed with the way in which CCI provided as- sistance. Student's Council raised almost $500.00 in Canadian Tire money and cash donations in or- der to purchase new toys for the annual toy drive. Mrs. Plater's sewing class (ABOVE RT) contributed additional stuffed toys which they had hand-crafted.
