ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM- This has been an historic year for the adult education program. We have celebrated our tenth and last year of operation as a program in Collingwood Colleg- iate. In September, we will officially become the Collingwood Learning Centre and operate from a new location dedicated strictly to adult educa- tion and training. This new location and program will enhance the present program and allow the unique educational needs of adults to be better served.
Leaving C.C.I. will be a bittersweet event for the adult program. The last ten years have seen over a thousand adults return to school to com- plete their education. Adults became an impor- tant part of school life and have had a very posi-
tive effect on the school tone. They have par- ticipated in many aspects of the school pro- gram outside the classroom and added much energy to the business wing. In return, they have gained the necessary skills needed to re-enter today's changing workforce, earned a diploma and made new friends.
A fond farewell from all adults to Calling- wood Collegiate and its supportive staff. PHO- TOS: 1. Kathleen Richardson and Brenda Brown 2. Frances Hobbs 3. Sarah McDonald 4. Heather Foley 5.
