Five years ago, did you ever think that you would see the day when you would smear Black and Gold poster paint all over your face and then allow your photo to be taken so that you might appear on a colour page in the '96 Gleaner? Some of you even went further by shaving your hair off and then paint- ing stripes around your entire head so you looked like a giant bumble bee. Some girls brushed on the number of their favorite football player while others simply wanted everyone to know that they were from CCI and proud of it. Such painting was not limited to the females of the school. As many guys sported the name of the 'Fighting Owls' or the gold and black stripes of a great school. The spirit of CCI did not end with the painting of faces. Closets and dresser drawers were raided to find any article of clothing that bore the school colours. This amount of enthusiasm had to be fiction - no, it was more than that - it was STRANGER THAN FICTION!
