ATIMEI STUDY,ATIMEI LETLOOSE
Cl has a long tradition of academic excellence. Students work diligently throughout the year with the sole purpose of expanding their intellectual scope. Of course, anyone who must live up to such high expectations lives a very stressful life -- often, it is necessary to let loose.
What a better way to rid your life of stress than through one of CCI's many special events -- Freaky Fridays, Spirit Days, and Grade Nine days just to name a few. See for yourself the rave reviews that these events draw, and why they are so im- portant to the student lifestyle.
J J Garvie enjoys fun days because they ' re a relief from sit- ting for hours in class doing page after page of work, as does
Sarah Winsor. Angie Cooper thinks these events are important because it gives students an opportunity to meet other students about the school , and boosts CCI ' s spirit. Lisa Cunningham says that fun days are good for social educational develop- ment purposes. Matt Partridge and Erin Orser enjoy the 'Bat- tle of the Bands'. Sarah Fachnie thinks such events are helpful in reducing academic stress.
Reading through the above material, it now becomes clear just how important CCI fun days really are. When you spend a whole year excelling in Engl ish , studying for Science and being tested in Tech, it really does help to avoid becoming FACE 2 FACE with a teacher, albeit for one day at a time.
