GETTING 2 SCHOOL ON TIME
ollingwood Collegiate has a long standing tradi- tion of earning superb reviews for its excellence in staging musicals. 'My Fair Lady' was one such play that was performed before packed audien- ces and a favorite selection was sung by Eliza Doolittle's father as he prepared for his wedding day. However, if 'Get Me To the Church on Time'
was sung at CCI today, there would be a definite change in lyrics to 'Get Me From the Church On Time' with the imple- mentation of the new late policy . First semester opened with an
emphasis being placed on arriving to class on time. Failure to do so resulted in receiving a dreaded green slip or, if the trend continued, a parental letter was sent home and, finally, a suspension. As soon as the music sounded in the halls, both staff and students were seen scurrying to their classrooms. Whether one arrived by bus, bicycle, their own car, walked or roller-bladed, it was imperative to beat the final notes of the music. Every student's nightmare was to come FACE 2 FACE with 3 late slips!
