FALL GOLF + TENNIS BOYS SOCCER +X-C
The Senior Boys Soccer season started off with a win against Barrie North at home. Th~ team was confident, but soon found itself trail- ing one win to three losses. With a lot of effort, the team beat Eastview from Barrie and finished the season with three wins and three losses. In the division finals, Collingwood lost to St. Joe's of Barrie, last year's OFFSA participant. The players and Coach V thank the many local spon- sors who made it possible for Boys Soccer to return to CCI after a 10 year absence. The soc- cer players (TOP RT) were: (BACK) H. Beatson, D. Gerrior, K. Estin B. Hooper and H. Beatson. (MIDDLE) J. Gillham, J. Fleming, and B. Hutch- ings. (FRONT) T. Coolican, M. Przybylski (TOP RT), M. Parks, J. Kennedy, and R. Bellinger. CCI's Cross-Country Running Team took a more balanced approach to the 1996 season. In the past, the team has been paced by all of its members. This year saw fine results from many different individuals and teams. The Mid- get Boys placed fourth overall in Simcoe County as did the Senior Girls. These two teams fin- ished 8th and 5th respectively at the GBSSA Championships. Top runners include Jeremy Enns, Jackie Morrill, Mike Ritchie, Jessica Syn- nott and Sean Kelly. These fine individuals were backed up by a great supporting cast. The team as a whole finished 8th overall in a 23 team Sim- coe league. Huronia Senior Invitational Golf Tournament was held at the Midland Golf & Country Club on September 26. 19 teams of 6 High School seniors competed. Barrie Central with a top-four total of 316 won the championships, edging both CCI and St. Theresa's who were tied just one stroke back at 317. of the tournament. The annual Huronia Junior Junior Invitational Golf Tournament was held at the Midland Golf & Country Club on Sep- tember 23. 19 teams of 6 High School juniors
