AS GOOD AS GOLD
The Jr. Girls
V olleyball Team, (OPP PG) coached
by Mrs. Brown and Mrs. McLeod, had a great season. The highlight was beating thie archrival, Eastview. Unfortunately,
they were put out in the regionals. Tournament play included Huntsville, Midland (as finalists!) and CCI. Members of this team were Candace Hare, Laurie Stevenson, Karen Baulke,
Paula Smith, Nicole Noseworthy, Erin Shaw, Alex Heeson, Beth
Anne Holbrook, Jenn Ley, Jackie Morill, Erin McAndrew, Courtney Davidson and Julie Hunt. This year's Sr. Girls Volleyball Team
(TOP L T)remained undefeated in league play against North, Eastview, Vanier,
St. Joes and SCI. At the
Dr . W.G. Fraser Tournament in Aurora, they captured the trophy . At the CCI· Wendy's Tournament, they carne up against a strong
St. Theresa's team, losing in the final game of the championship round . They came back to capture the Huntsville Tournament, defeating many strong northern teams . This was a fun overnight trip and needless to say, "What goes on in Huntsville, stays in Huntsville!"In the play- offs, they lost to Midland
in two stariqht games . Watch out next year! Members of this superior
team were the setters of Stephanie Fryer, Bobbie McNairn, Abby Gallacher and Nicole Millman, The Middles of Marj Klinck, Pareen
Gill, Kelly O'Neil, Jenn McKay and Laura Powers . The Powers consisted of Julie Crago, M ichelle Dempsey, Shannon O 'N eil, Anne Hogarth and Katherine Sencar . The team was amnaged by Rebecca Holton and the assistant coaches were Ted Kern and Luka
Sene . Many thanks go to Coaches Norman and Sharp .
