his year's CCI Wrestling Team had a slow start to T their season, but a very productive finish. In
a limited series of competitions, CCI hosted a league meet and the Simcoe County Intermed-

at GBs in women's and 4th in men's competition. We took part in weekend tournaments in Guelph and Mont- real where the team won Ist in women's and 2nd in men's for an overall 1st place fmish. After OFSAA, in which we qualified 4 girls and 3 boys, we were ranked 17th team in the province in both men's and women's competition. This was a great teant effort. Individually, we had 5 GB Champios- Miguel Martin, Travis Bonwick, Katie Lloyd, Jessica Beatson and Shannon Huxtable. At the GBs, Shawn Payne and Michelle Ainger placed 2nd and quali- fied for OFSAA. Very credible performances were also put forth by Matt Halliday, Mac McSorley, Gil Ralston
and- Kristen Montgomery who placed 3rd in their weight classes. At OFSAA, our 7 individuals did well by win- ning all matches in their 32 man draws and placing in the top half of their respective classes. Travis Bonwick wrest- led to a 5th place position in 8 tough matches. Jessica Beatson nnd Katie Lloyd both placed 7th while Miguel Martin, Shawn Payne and Michelle Ainger placed 9th.
