Gymnastics, track and skiing send medal winning athletes
to the Ontario Championships.
Cl's Alpine Sk; Team had a tough start to the C season, not knowing whether or not they
would be given the opportunity to race this year. Despite this uncertainty, the team did
not loose hope and participated very COI!lpetitivcly in two night races at Blue Mountain and Horseshoe Valley. The team's success at these events made them fierce com- petitors at the BG fmals al Devil"s Glen Ski Club. placed Sth in floor exercise. Amanda Walker who was 3rd on the uneven bars and 4th on the beam and Adrienne :n winning lsl in floor exercises. These girls then went on to compete at OFSAA where Karen placed 12th on the nand 20th on the vault. Both she and Lauren placed in the top 2o on fllor exercises.Erin had an outstanding 5th

to heights that exceeded what many expected !all. there were 21 GBSSA qualifers out of 33 competitors. As the on progressed. we saw 6 athletes go to the OFSSA Regional competition in Oshawa. In the end, Jessica Synnott :ilicJ for the Ontarion Championships in the Sr. Girls 800 metres. Of speciw note was Kelly O'Neil's performance he also made it to OFSSJ\ in the Sr. Girls 200m and ran a time of 25.8 seconds to shatter a CCI school record that stood for over 20 years.
