Following that career, he then went back to Sheridan College for two more years and attended Teachers College in Toronto. In 1983, he graduated from WLU with a degree in sociology. Since his early years, Mr. Pilon has been a flamboyant person and he liked to 'slip' a little drama into his lessons. He would began a new class with an example of sculpture from Blue Mountain. Dropping it to the floor, he would announce to the class that this was not the kind of art that he wanted from them. He will always be remembered for the favours that be did over the years, helping other teachers with their art programmes, assisting with musicals, committees and assemblies. Mr. Kilgour and Mr. Pilon
both share a love of sailing and they have cruised the shores of Georgian Bay during the past 15 summers. When not sailing, they put together some very interesting dinners aboard ship, giving their dishes names like 'Sunrise Salad' and 'Red Licorice Revenge'. Upon his retirement, it can be assured that one will find Mr. Pilon working in his studio, wearing a variety of old bats and listening to either a Gregorian
chant or Kenny Rogers. Mr. Pilon, we wish you many, many happy years ahead of you in your retirement and the best of wishes.
