GolfatC.C.Iinthe 1999-2000 season got off to an early start with the GB 's qualifying event of the 21st annual Huronia Team Championship. This tournament was held on October 5th and t" at the Midland Golf Club and at the Brooklea Golf and Country Club. Due to the cold and wet weather conditions, the scores were based on the result of 9 holes. Both C.C.I. teams ranked 5th of the top
I0 teams and qualified for the GB's, to be held in the Spring of 2000. The Junior Team consisted of, Mark Garbutt, Chris Karpouiez, Braden McGregor, Adam McCutchen and Jodi Switzer. The Senior Golf Team consisted of Ryan Butler, Steven
Pretty, Jeff Jardine, Trevor
Firstbrook and Lauren Jackson.

In June, '99, the Senior Golf Team participated in the OFSAA Championships at Hawk Ridge GolfClub in Orillia. The tournament was decided on the results of2 18 hole matches and after the first day, CCI ranked 2"d behind a Windsor team with 3 of our golfers having scores in the 70s. On the 2nd day, facing extreme competition from 15 other schools, CCI emerged 3rd in Ontario, only being 4 strokes off the winning team. Congratulations are extended to Ryan Butler, Steven Pretty, Warren McGregor, Jeff Jardine and Chris Pons. Special mention goes to Warren who tied for 4 h in Ontario and JeffJardine who tied for 6th. As well. both Junior and Senior Teams won their respective GBSSA Championships. The Juniors. made up of Trevor Firstbrook. Warren Sly, Rob Coolican, Lauren Jackson, Adam McCutcheon and Mark McCarl came in first with Warren winning the low gross in this division. The Seniors tied for t• and after a shoot- out, CCI's team of Ryan Butler, Steven Pretty. Warren McGregor. Jeff Jardine, Chris Potts and Trevor McCarl brought home the trophy.
