The,Collingwood Collegiate Community was saddened to hear of the people ofEI Salvador being victim of two major earthquakes at the beginning of the New Year. CCI has special interest in this country because we had helped build their school and every year since has provided materials. The school and community were destroyed and within a week, $1 000 was raised along with 2 truckloads of goods to be sent to El Salvador. CCI also participated in the Annual Food Drive and once again, Mr. Hirst's homeroom brought in the most goods. Late last spring, we also helped clean up the local walking trails.
