Welcome to tribal council
Survivors of grade 9
In September, several hundreds of grade 9's passed thru the doors of CCI to begin an adventure far more demanding than the gulping down of beetle larvae on the infamous Cullhroat Island. They would be subjected to eating food far less tasty than the roasted rats cooked by both tribes. They had embarked on a journey that lasted not 39 days, but 4 years. They quickly learned that life at CCI offered no 'immunity challenges' and if they didn't pull their weight immediately, their chances of being kicked off the island of high school life would be greatly increased. Academic standards were much higher than in their elementary schools and ifgrades were allowed to slip, then the tribe would have a say at the next council meeting of parents. By the end of the year, each had become a winner and a survivor. Valuable alliances had been formed and important lessons had been learned. Upon its conclusion. they stood back in eager anticipation of the sequel. ... this temptation was known as 'Grade 10''
