Having team smarts...
The CCI Senior Tennis Team had a terrific season on the courts where they competed in the GBSSA finals and won several titles. Gold went to the Mixed Doubles team of Kristen Sinclair and the Men's Singles champion, Ryan Hammond. Second place was awarded to the Mixed Doubles Pair of Leslie Thompson and Greg Sturch and to the Men's Doubles team of Dave Birrell and Byron Jardine. The other doubles team of Hal Stimson and Mark Gillespie won their first match, but lost in the second. The Women's Doubles team of Shannon Huxtable and Alex Ainley made it to the semi-

finals and placed 4 h overall. Marcie Chaudet and Ashley Morrison
played in the consolation final, but lost in a close match. In the Women's Singles tournament, 4 girls played in the consolation side. They were Maria Heras, Tiffany Reasbeck, Devon Smith and Lisa Stoll. Lisa made it to the finals, but was defeated. The overall team standings put a Barrie team over CCI by·a mere 4 points. The Senior Boys Volleyball Team should be very proud oftheir accomplishments this season as well. They finished with a record of 32 wins and 8 losses in league and tournament play, including consolation victories at York Un. And Georgian College tournaments, a bronze medal at the Mayfield Invitational and an undefeated season in league and play-off competition. This resulted in a GBSSA victory and a trip to OFSSA. The team played very well at the provincials and received a record of2 wins and I loss before loosing in the championship quarterfinals. Congratulations to all !
