THe Collingwood Juniors Finished with 17 victories Against no defeats over the season and captured the GBSSA Championship. During the season, C.C.I. Captured the Orillia Blackball Tournament, won the Eastview Wildcat Invitational; defeated previously undefeated Burlington Nelson twice, and defeated GBSSA "AAA" Champion Barrie Innisdale Twice. The Junior Owls dominated the opposition in the GB Semi-final and final games. The Collingwood Collegiate Junior Girls had an outstanding year, The first Junior Owls team in recent C.C.I. history to compete in high-level team competition and remain undefeated over the
entire season. The Junior Girls Basketball team truly had a season to remember. The Senior Girls Basketball team are G.B.S.S.A CHAMPIONS! For the first time since 1927 a senior girls G.B winner has represented Collingwood at OFSSA. The senior breezed through the regular season undefeated and had a respectable performance in several tournaments. When the play-offs arrived the Fighting Owls showed their true grit with the victories over Orillia District and Twin Lakes. Then they defeated OFSAA champs, Huntsville in the G.B . final. . .Jodie Switzer led the scoring in all play-off games.
