The Senior football Team's season started early this year as asolid core of players hit the grid for a pre- season training camp in the middle of August. Con- ditioning was the calling card of the years Senior Owls as they owned the second half against most opponents. Superior fitness allowed the Owls to come from behind in three league match ups against traditionalrivals. Theowlswerepoweredbycrusty, veteran players at all positions as well as an influx of talent from Stayner, Ontario. They propelled the Owls all the way to the GBSSA Finals where a heart breaking, last minute loss was suffered. The Owls bid farewell to their graduating players. However, the bar has been set high for a strong group of returnees. Nothing short of a league title will be acceptable in 2002. Well done boys!! Good Luck next year!!
