2003 was a successful season for the CCI Alpine Ski Team. Nine members attended dryland practices before Christmas and on-hill practices at Blue Mountain Resort. The team attended 3 regular season invitational meets and placed in the top three in every event. The GBSSA finals were held at the Georgian Peaks Ski Club. The Levell Boys', Kyle Bailey and Ben Mitchell placed 3rd and 5th respectively and had their best race of the season. Level2 Boys' racer, Korey Heatherington had a personal best atthe GB finals with a 5th place overall result. The Level2 Girls' had a super race and received the silver medal for their excellent efforts. Members of the 2003 Alpine Ski Team ( ) were Joanna Bennet, Michelle Heatherington, Kaley Reid, Jamie Smith, Claire Tranter, Ryan Kristy, Korey Heatherington, Kyle Bailey, and Ben Mitchell.
This was another successful year for the Girls' Curling Team. The team of Tori Kirby as lead, Janice Potts as second, Jackie Rogers playing vice and Mallory Crew as skip combined for an impressive 9-8 record. The team placed in the top 4 teams at the Gore Regional finals and showed that they could compete with the regions best teams. Mr. Hammond would like to wish our graduating players Jackie Rogers, Tori Kirby, and Erin Buie all the best in the future and thank them for the hard work they demonstrated this season. The teams future is still bright as our talented second and skip return next year.
