Who is the Wrestling Superstar?
The 2002-2003 year proved to be a year of 1st's, 2nd's and snow days for the CCI Wrestling Team.
We practiced 4 days a week, with one of the most difficult, rigorous "warm-ups" one could imagine. Each and every member of the wrestling team earned their way to OFSAA, where they encountered yet another snow day... 12cm of snow and the city of Sarnia shut down. 1st year wrestlers Cody, Clayton and John all earned their way to the consolation round, which was no easy feat. Billy Burtch left his mark on the mat as well as off the mat with his sense of humour. Co-captain Shannon Huxtable won for the consecutive
year OFSAA Gold. Shannon graduated this year and is off to NewFoundland to pursue a career in Environmental Science. Co- Captain Mac McSorley also graduated this year. All in all it's a great year for a great team.
CCI's Badminton Team has been practising their skills and techniques every Monday and Thursday mornings at 7:15a.m. They are hoping to improve on last year's accomplishments, including the first place win at GB's for Sandie Lloyd and Alicia Hall in the Junior Girls Doubles.
