This year, the Music Programme displayed a great deal of excitement at they prepared for a number of exceptional perfor- mances before a full audience and packed for several trips. Prior to Christmas, the jazz groups entertained at a number of elementary schools as well as marching in the Annual Collingwood Santa Clause Parade. Early in the new year, members of the Sr. Jazz Band travelled to Alliston for a retreat in order to prepare for their excursion to Japan in May. February saw all bands performing at Musicfest hosted by CCL In late April, all of CCI's bands and choir members embarked for several days in Boston, Mass. Besides competing at the Heritage Music Festival, the musicians also performed at several schools. Cheers Look out! Then it was on to Japan for 10 days of concerts as well as an introduction to the Japanese culture. Jeremy Wyant commented, " It was an awesome trip. I couldn't get used to sleeping on the floor though!". Lindsey Keenan also enjoyed the trip especially the traditional bathrooms!
